t3rn Integrates Hyperliquid

t3rn is expanding its cross-chain settlement network to HyperEVM, enabling TRN-powered execution on one of the most composable and performance-oriented EVM environments. As part of the integration, the TRN token is now deployed on HyperEVM at address 0x0948E59D888E7BdaA583BCB4fE3C0756F5f21B13 and available for use across the Hyperliquid ecosystem.

This deployment gives protocols and traders within HyperEVM direct access to TRN for settlement flows, incentives, and on-chain coordination, alongside t3rn’s existing multi-chain execution layer.

Hyperliquid’s latest advancements

HyperEVM itself introduces powerful building blocks for trustless interoperability within the Hyperliquid stack. CoreWriter and read precompiles allow two-way communication between HyperCore and HyperEVM, enabling builders to design applications that combine HyperCore’s liquidity and performance with HyperEVM’s smart contract flexibility. This architecture unlocks possibilities such as fully onchain tokenized staking experiences, governance-triggered staking actions, and borrowing/lending protocols that incorporate HyperCore order book prices directly into robust onchain oracles, with the ability to initiate liquidations via CoreWriter. The seamless composability between HyperCore and HyperEVM creates fertile ground for innovative DeFi primitives.

Cost Breakdown – HyperEVM

Initial observations on the settlement costs with Hype are very promising. We’ve limited the first settings of the protocol fees to the minimum, adjusting the percentage costs of execution to 0.000001% of the value transferred.

We’re setting the initial gas price limit taken into calculating the executor’s fees & protocol fees for fail-safe claims and refunds as follows:

Gas Price Limit: 0.337962872 Gwei

Current Effective Gas Price: 0.2001 Gwei

Current Max Effective Gas Price: 0.3011 Gwei

From those, we’re observing the initial cost of swapping 1 HYPE at the record low Average Protocol Fee:
86041.6462 Gwei ÷ 1e9 = 0.0000860416462 HYPE
0.0000860416462 × $48 ≈ $0.00413

Contracts revamp

To prepare for deployment on HyperEVM, we spent the last development cycle aggressively scaling down our contract sizes to stay well under the chain’s ~2M gas per block limit. This meant refactoring large modules into slimmer, reusable components, pruning unused code paths, and replacing heavyweight imports with lightweight interfaces. We also consolidated upgrade logic, reduced constructor complexity, and stripped redundant initializers to keep the bytecode footprint minimal. The result is a deployment set that fits comfortably within HyperEVM’s constraints while preserving full protocol functionality, ensuring upgrades and new deployments won’t hit size or gas-related roadblocks.

Executor Setup for HYPE + HyperEVM Support

Executors can enable HyperEVM and the HYPE asset simply by updating environment variables

EXECUTOR_ENABLED_NETWORKS="t3rn,optimism,binance,linea,base,arbitrum,hyperevm,unichain"
EXECUTOR_ENABLED_ASSETS="eth,bnb,trn,hype"

Once these are set, your executor will be ready to process settlements on HyperEVM alongside your existing networks, with full TRN and HYPE token support.

Key Takeaways

  • HyperEVM is extremely cost-efficient for settlement — fees are in the thousandths of a cent range for gas and a few tenths of a cent for protocol charges.

  • Protocol fee variance is minimal (~14% higher average than minimum), meaning settlement cost predictability is high.

  • Compared to initial projections, real costs are so low that they enable entirely new use cases — such as streaming settlements or per-order finalization without batching pressure.

  • From an integration perspective, the economic footprint of HyperEVM settlements is effectively negligible in the wider cost model of t3rn’s multi-chain settlement network.

Happy bridging!

As multichain activity becomes a core part of Web3, simple asset transfers via bridges are no longer enough to support increasingly complex cross-chain workflows. While bridges effectively move assets between chains, they stop short of coordinating multi-step actions, leaving users exposed to partial executions, higher costs, and manual failure handling. t3rn addresses this gap by with cross-chain execution: an outcome-driven, atomic approach where all actions across multiple chains either complete together or fully revert. Rather than managing individual transactions, users define the desired result, and the protocol guarantees execution without leaving funds in unintended states. By operating above bridges and messaging protocols, t3rn provides execution-level interoperability, enabling safer, more reliable multichain applications as blockchain ecosystems continue to fragment and scale.

t3rn is pausing its committee governance system to pivot from a model that rewarded staked positioning to one that prioritizes active protocol contribution. While the technical infrastructure was successful, the suspension allows the team to restructure governance toward a more sustainable model where rewards are tied to measurable impact and community growth rather than passive participation. Moving forward, engagement will center on an ambassador-led approach that recognizes high-value contributors, while all staked assets remain entirely secure and under user control. This strategic shift ensures that governance resources are directed toward those building the ecosystem's future through clear deliverables and dedicated community leadership.

t3rn is expanding its cross-chain bridge to support Monad, enabling seamless, trust-minimized transfers of Monad’s native asset across networks connected to the t3rn execution layer. This first-phase integration gives users and developers an immediate interoperability touchpoint with Monad while broader execution and TRN settlement features roll out later.
