t3rn is very proud be a part of the latest Web 3.0 Bootcamp cohort. 

After a rigorous 42 day interview process, during which all applicants were repeatedly vetted by some of the leading figures in Parity, t3rn was selected as one of the 12 teams to participate in the 6 month bootcamp, alongside the likes of Moonbeam, Clover Finance, Konomi and eight other strong projects. 

The Web 3.0 Bootcamp will offer expertise from the likes of Parity, Web3 Foundation, Wanxiang Labs and New Chainbase in aspects ranging from technical support to showcasing proof of concepts and tapping into the Asian market. 

The bootcamp has an undeniably strong track record of offering a platform to grow into pivotal parts of the Polkadot ecosystem, with alumni from the bootcamp including Acala, Phala, Plasm, Ankr, Celer Network and many more top tier projects.

The Web 3.0 Bootcamp program

The Web 3.0 Bootcamp was created to accelerate the development of Substrate based projects, offering support in the following key areas:

• Technical support
  Web3 Foundation and Parity's Asia team offer extensive technical education, global resources, and hands-on support (8-12 hours per week) related to Substrate, off-chain workers, Cumulus, parachains/parathreads, Polkadot economics, validator setup, architecture review, and more.
  
  

• Incubation and acceleration
  Wanxiang Blockchain Labs curates a comprehensive startup and blockchain program facilitated by a team of industry experts. The program consists of two sessions: the Startup Academy session includes policy (legal compliance), finance (business model design, fundraising technique), product design and management, marketing and community, and human resources. The sessions also include corporate level blockchain adoption use case, blockchain asset management, and aligning with International Blockchain Standards.
  
  

• Industry and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) resources in China
  All accepted teams will have a chance to build and test their tech stack PoC with Wanxiang Blockchain Lab's extensive suite of enterprise portfolios and partners in automobile, supply chain finance, smart city, insurance, government public service, and cultural industry for intellectual property protection.

• Access to global network/events
  Teams will have the opportunity to participate in events held by Web3 Foundation and Wanxiang Blockchain Lab in China and around the world, including Bootcamp DemoDay, DotCon, Sub0, Web3 Summit, Polkadot/Substrate meetups and Wanxiang Blockchain Summit. Teams also have access to Polkadot's global ambassador and ecosystem project networks.

• Funding and Network
  All accepted teams will have the opportunity to receive funding through Web3 Foundation Grants, the Polkadot Ecosystem Fund, Parity Technologies, Hashkey Capital and other institutional sources.
  
  

t3rn participated in the opening ceremony on the 17th May, alongside Polkadot founder Gavin Wood, in introducing the project to the other participants, as well as a wider audience who were in attendance. 

Web 3.0 Bootcamp organisers

The main organiser is the Swiss-based Web3 Foundation, which aims to support decentralised projects and protocols, as well as Parity the entity that is building Polkadot. 

Parity showcases the power of open-source development, sharing their vision during the Bootcamp. Other key organisers include New Chainbase which is an incubator partner with a focus on training and orienting, alongside Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, a group of industry experts from around the world who guide and support blockchain entrepreneurs.

Unique process‍

The program begins with the acceleration phase, enhancing the team's understanding of the Substrate framework and protocols. 

Following the development phase, the bootcamp brings the teams through regulatory, business, product design and community topics, introducing the importance of these other pillars. Blockchain targeted sessions are also included, nurturing Defi protocol management, privacy studies, dapp development and more. The bootcamp also offers assistance with community growth in the Asian market. 

Finally, the bootcamp makes connections to established businesses in order to facilitate real world use cases and applications of the blockchain products that are developed by bootcamp participants.

t3rn is one of 12  teams that have been selected based on solid project fundamentals and contribution to the Polkadot ecosystem; the connections made with the other projects in the bootcamp will only strengthen t3rn’s place in this ever growing and very exciting ecosystem, while allowing the sharing of learnings among the teams that are participating.
